Sliding Fitted Wardrobes in Brentwood, Essex
This completed sliding wardrobe project in Brentwood, Essex CM13 was designed for a master bedroom in a bungalow where the customer needed much more useful storage.
The room itself was a good size, but the customer had been relying on temporary shop-style hanging rails, which were not practical long term and made the bedroom feel less settled.
With a bed and bedside tables already in place, hinged wardrobes would have made access awkward. A sliding wardrobe system was the more practical option for the room.

Sliding Fitted Wardrobes In Essex Project Summary
For this Brentwood project, the customer wanted a proper fitted storage solution after living with temporary hanging rails for several years. The main requirement was to create as much hanging space as possible while still keeping the bedroom easy to use.
Because the bed and bedside units were already positioned close to the wardrobe wall, a traditional hinged wardrobe layout would have made access tight. We designed and installed sliding fitted wardrobes instead, allowing the customer to use the storage without doors opening into the room.
The wardrobes were built to suit the height of the room and finished in Natural Bardolino Oak to match the customer’s existing bedroom furniture as closely as possible. The result is a simple, practical fitted wardrobe solution that gives the room the storage it had been missing.
Fitted Wardrobe Project In Brentwood Design and Finish:
This project used our Croft Range sliding wardrobe style in Natural Bardolino Oak Egger H1145 ST10. The same finish was used internally, giving the wardrobe a consistent look inside and out.
A key part of the design was matching the existing bedside furniture the customer had already purchased elsewhere. Natural Bardolino Oak was a very good fit for the tone and style of the room, helping the new wardrobes sit naturally alongside the existing pieces.
The sliding doors include built in handles, keeping the front of the wardrobe clean and straightforward. For rooms where bed placement or bedside tables make hinged doors awkward, sliding wardrobes can be a sensible way to gain storage without reducing usable floor space.
This project is also a useful example for anyone considering fitted wardrobes in Brentwood where the room needs to work around existing furniture rather than starting from a completely empty space.
