Angled Fitted Wardrobes in Witham, Essex

Angled Fitted Wardrobes in Witham, Essex

This fitted wardrobe project in Witham, Essex was designed for a chalet style bungalow with angled ceilings on both sides of the room.

The room was being used as a home office and spare bedroom, but with a new baby on the way, the customer wanted the space to work harder. The aim was to create more practical storage while still leaving enough room for the sofa bed and office furniture.

We designed and installed angled wardrobes from our Croft range, finished in Egger Grey Nebraska Oak H3332 ST10, with push-to-open doors and a Beige Textile interior.

This Fitted Wardrobe Project Summary:

This room had an awkward layout, with sloped ceilings and eaves on both sides. The customer needed to make better use of the space without losing the function of the room as both a study and spare bedroom.

The brief was to create as much storage as possible within the angled sections, while keeping enough room between the wardrobes for the sofa bed. This meant the wardrobes had to be properly made to measure, rather than relying on standard furniture that would leave a lot of unused space under the eaves.

Inside, the storage was kept practical. Adjustable shelving was used in the lower sections of the wardrobes where the ceiling height was most restricted, with as much hanging space as possible added where the angles allowed.

This is a good example of how angled fitted wardrobes can turn difficult eaves space into useful storage, especially in chalet bungalows, loft rooms and spare bedrooms.

This Wardrobe Projects Design and Finish:

The customer already had woodgrain furniture in the room, so choosing the right finish was an important part of the project. After visiting the showroom, they liked the Grey Nebraska Oak from our Croft range of fitted wardrobes and took a sample home to check it against the existing furniture.

It worked very well with the room, giving the wardrobes a modern woodgrain finish without feeling too heavy.

The Croft range was a good choice for this project because it suits clean, modern designs and works well where angled doors are needed. With the push-to-open detail, there are no handles on the front, which keeps the angled wardrobe faces simple and uncluttered.

The wardrobes were finished internally in Beige Textile, giving the inside a neat, practical finish that works well against the Grey Nebraska Oak exterior.

For anyone planning fitted wardrobes in Essex, this project shows how even tight angled areas can be turned into storage when the furniture is designed around the room properly.
