Sage Green Fitted Home Office in Clavering, Essex

Sage Green Fitted Home Office in Clavering, Essex

This completed project in Clavering, on the Essex borders, was part of a larger five-room fitted furniture installation for the same customer.

This particular room started as a blank-canvas bedroom in a new-build property, but the customer wanted to turn it into a practical home office and library space. The room had an angled ceiling, so standard freestanding furniture would not have made the best use of the available wall.

We designed and built a made-to-measure fitted furniture layout from our Rockingham range, finished in painted woodgrain Sage Green, with open shelving, file drawers and a dedicated TV space.

This Project Summary:

For this Clavering project, the customer wanted to change a spare bedroom into a more useful home office and library room. The space had an angled ceiling, which meant the furniture needed to be designed around the shape of the room rather than using standard units.

We created a full fitted furniture wall with open shelving, cupboards, file drawers and a central TV section. The shelving was planned around the customer’s existing books, files and display items, while the lower storage gave the room a more practical working layout.

This was one of five rooms completed in the same property, so it was important that the finish and attention to detail felt consistent throughout the home. The final result is a calm, practical study space that makes proper use of the angled wall and gives the room a clear purpose.

Design and Finish For This Home Office:

The customer chose our Rockingham traditional shaker style, finished in painted woodgrain Sage Green. This works well in a home office because it feels softer than a plain white finish, while still looking calm and practical.

The furniture was made to measure around the angled ceiling, with open shelving above and a mix of cupboards and drawers below. The brushed chrome cup handles and knobs give the shaker-style furniture a more traditional detail without making the room feel too heavy.

The centre section was designed with space for a TV, while the surrounding shelving provides room for books, framed photos and display pieces. The file drawers were included to make the space genuinely useful as a working study, not just a decorative shelving wall.

If you are planning fitted furniture in Essex, this type of design is a good example of how an awkward spare room can be turned into a useful everyday space. For similar projects, you may also find our home office furniture page helpful.

Our customer left us this review on our Google Business Page.

“We are over the moon with the service Ollie provided. We had fitted cupboards and shelving units in several rooms and the quality and finish are exceptional. Ollie’s attention to detail is fantastic and he really listened to what we wanted. Ollie has delivered an exceptional end product and we have already recommended him to our family and friends. His pricing is fair and beat the bigger furnishing companies. He and his team were polite, clean, really efficient and went above and beyond to help us. Ollie was really communicative and helped us find solutions for tricky parts of the house too. He has made our house feel like a home and we could not be happier. Thank you so much Ollie and Lou!”
