A Complete Fitted Wardrobe and Bedroom Furniture Design
This project was designed for the master bedroom of a new build home at Handley Gardens in Maldon, Essex. Rather than treating the wardrobes as a separate piece of bedroom furniture, the project was planned as a complete fitted bedroom design around the bed.
The main fitted wardrobes were combined with overbed bridge storage and two bespoke matching bedside units. This creates useful storage at different heights while keeping the wardrobes, bridge cupboards and bedside furniture visually connected.
The external furniture was finished in Egger Tyrolean Blue U504 ST9 using our Blyton fitted wardrobe range, which sits in Price Group 1. Antique brass handles and knobs were used across the fitted furniture.
Inside, Anthracite Linen was selected for the wardrobe interiors. The internal storage includes hanging space, long hanging, adjustable shelving and internal drawers, allowing different types of clothing and everyday items to be organised within the same bedroom design.
The wardrobes were built with full 18mm carcasses throughout, including 18mm sides, bases, tops and solid 18mm backs. One of the hinged wardrobe doors was also specified as a full-height mirror, adding a practical dressing mirror without needing a separate freestanding mirror in the room.

The project needed more than a run of wardrobes. The bedroom furniture was planned as one coordinated design with fitted wardrobes, storage above the bed and two bespoke matching bedside units.
